If you want importing to Thailand, the minimum requirement is an import license, but some products require import permit as well.

Importation of goods into Thailand must pass customs clearance or must be declared to customs authorities depending on the nature of the imported items such as their origin country, quantity, and value. General customs clearance procedures for imports in Thailand require the submission of a Customs import entry form. The form should be accompanied by standard shipping documents, which include a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading/airway bill, and letter of credit.

Thailand has adopted the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN) 2022, which is based on the Harmonized System 2022, as its import tariff nomenclature. Classification of imports is based on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System.

• Goods exempted from duty, which has Custom value, including freight and insurance charges, of no more than 1,500 baht or samples with no commercial value.
• Goods whose FOB value is less than 40,000 baht: The consignee is not required to prepare and submit import declaration electronically.
• Goods whose FOB value is above 40,000 baht: The consignee has to prepare and submit import declaration electronically to the Thai Customs Electronic System.

Thailand imposes a 7% VAT on all imported goods, including those valued at THB 1,500 or less.
